About the Role
Aramark UK is currently recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our team at New College Doncaster. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced catering environment and delivering excellent customer service. As a Food Service Assistant, you will support both front and back of house operations, including food preparation, service, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to customers, following portioning and presentation standards
- Prepare cold food and made-to-order items, including hot sandwiches
- Operate tills and handle payments
- Restock goods and maintain merchandise displays
- Clean crockery, cutlery, counters, equipment, and public areas
- Report feedback, complaints, stock needs, faults, or hazards to the line manager
- Complete daily paperwork and maintain accurate records
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Undertake relevant training as required
Skills & Requirements
- Enhanced DBS required
- Term time only (equated pay)
- Previous experience is helpful but not essential - full training will be provided
