Overview
As Operations Manager, you lead the food service operation across healthcare and living environments to deliver exceptional dining and service quality. You will drive financial performance, compliance, and client relationships while guiding a diverse team to high engagement and development. The role integrates with Aramark Healthcare standards to ensure safe, compliant, and guest-focused experiences. Responsibilities
- Plan and direct all unit activities related to food and facilities service, ensuring financial accountability and regulatory/compliance adherence
- Maintain effective relationships with other departments to deliver a unified food service experience for patients, residents, visitors and staff
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards are met
- Manage client relations and conduct rounds to assess service levels and identify expansion opportunities
- Provide direction, training, and development for staff in food service, including cost control and cash handling
- Develop operational forecasts and explain variances; oversee component accounting functions
- Ensure compliance with contract obligations and Aramark standards
Key requirements
- 3β5 years of progressive management experience in food service, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living
- Proven P&L accountability, budgeting, forecasting, and contract-managed services experience
- Strong written and verbal communication with clients, residents, customers, leadership teams, and frontline staff
- Ability to prepare professional business documents and operational summaries with high accuracy
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to interpret financial reports and performance data
- Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills with a focus on engagement and operational excellence
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly
- Strong organization, problem-solving, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with food service/operational management systems is a plus
