Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Chef to join our team working at Leconfield, HU17 7LX. You will be responsible for managing production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage and be supportive of new team members to support them with their learning procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks.
Aramark provides world-class contract catering services to our extensive list of clients across the UK, including Defence and Judicial, private industry and Education. To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements, you must have been a UK resident for the past 3 years and have legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
What do we offer:
- This is a full-time position, 39 hours per week (shift pattern, 5 days over 7 including weekends).
- Shifts range between 06:30 and 19:00, leaving your evenings free.
- The hourly rate is Β£12.53/hour.

A day in the life of a Chef:
- Cooking and preparing food ready for breakfast, lunch and dinner services ensuring minimal wastage.
- Providing fine dining (silver service level) for functions/hospitality events.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team of chefs and acting as a trainer/coach for new team members.
- Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals.
- Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records.
- Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries.
- Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence.
- Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent).
- Excellent team player and communicator.
- Security checks and DBS required for this role.
- Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
