The Food Service Worker is responsible for cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures. The Cook should safely handle knives and equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, etc.
Job Responsibilities
- Service of food and/or beverages to customers to the standards set by the company.
- Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, in particular H.A.C.C.P regulations.
- Cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment and/or furniture.
- Preparation of service area and/or service points.
- Clean and replenish service equipment.
- Accurate storage of food items and equipment after service.
- Food assembly and service of same in an efficient manner, which may include some light cooking.
- Monitor and record food and equipment temperatures.
- Handling cash transactions and ensuring the accurate cash handling procedures are followed in accordance with company procedure and till procedures.
- Attend in-house training sessions.
- Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations at all times.
- To present an image at all times conducive to good customer relations.
- Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy.
- Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s policies and procedures.
- Other duties occasionally assigned by the Management team to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Qualifications
- Previous experience with a catering environment desirable. On the job training will be given.
- Must acquire basic food hygiene qualification within first six months.
- Knowledge of Food Hygiene including HACCP.
- 1 years’ experience in a similar environment.
- Good understanding of English.
