Assistant Banqueting Manager to support the successful delivery of hospitality and banqueting services while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, food safety and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
Lead by example in delivering the highest possible standards across all catering service areas.
Assist with regulatory training requirements and provide continuous on-the-job training and development to team members.
Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment at all times, ensuring compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.
Support other business areas as required to meet operational needs.
Meet and liaise with function organisers throughout events to ensure they and their guests receive the highest possible standard of service.
Assist in driving sales growth while identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Demonstrate flexibility by covering alternative shifts when required and providing cover during the Banqueting Manager's annual leave.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve business objectives and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Play a key role in maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of employees, customers and visitors.
Maintain excellent attendance and timekeeping standards.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar hospitality, catering or banqueting supervisory role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, support and effectively manage a team.
IT literate with good numerical skills and the ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high service standards.
Sound knowledge of food hygiene regulations, health and safety requirements, and industry best practices.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Legal right to work in the UK and ability to successfully pass basic Access NI screening.
