Aramark UK are recruiting a Sous Chef to join their fantastic team at Keogh Barracks, Ash Vale GU12 5QU. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the shifts when the Head Chef is not present, producing up to 1000 meals at a time. You will be well organised and able to work well under pressure.
To be eligible for this role, due to the sector requirements: you must have been in the UK for the past 3 years and have the legal right to work in the UK and be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.

- This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, (5 days over 7, alternate weekends off). Shifts range between 6:00 and 20:00, leaving your evenings free.

A day in the life of a Sous Chef:
- You will be running shifts and guiding your team when the Head Chef is not present, producing up to 1000 meals at a time.
- You will be organising and supporting your team to ensure a smooth operation daily, allocating tasks so that your team and time are fully utilised.
- You will be producing food in line with recipe sheets, and have full knowledge of all menu items served, including allergen information.
- Management of production and food levels to ensure minimal wastage.
- You will also be placing orders and keeping records of any stock wastage, alongside receiving deliveries, and ensuring they are stored correctly.
- Carrying out deep cleans daily/weekly alongside your team, ensuring all staff are fully trained on their sections.
You will be set up for success if you have:
- Relevant culinary qualification (706/1 or 706/2 or equivalent) and demonstrable on-the-job experience as either a Sous Chef or a Senior Chef de Partie.
- Excellent team player and communicator.
- A confident chef.
- Flexibility and the ability to innovate.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK and have resided in-country for more than 3 years.
