Chessington World of Adventures Resort are now recruiting Hotel Kitchen Porters. Do you like the idea of working in a theme park environment? Well, we have a fabulous opportunity to work within our hotel operations at Chessington World of Adventures. You would be based in one of our fantastic themed restaurants working alongside our amazing team of chefs and cooks.

We are currently looking for several Kitchen Porters to join our breakfast and evening dinner service teams.

The Role

In this role you'll help to ensure that the facilities in our kitchens are maintained to the highest standards. We need people to help keep the strictest levels of cleanliness in the food preparation areas, by working closely with all of the Chefs in our busy kitchens.

Working straight shifts on a rota basis, the role offers excellent prospects for those interested in a career as a Chef or any other aspect of the catering industry. We proactively seek to develop all of our employees who show promise. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting chefs with basic food preparation. This may involve cutting, peeling and washing food items.
  • Keeping the kitchen clean and providing a safe working environment for all.
  • Preparing the kitchen area prior to service.
  • Supporting with deliveries and making sure stock is tidy.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure the operation runs smoothly.
  • Washing and cleaning dishes.

Pay & Benefits

You will be working full or part time on a seasonal variable contract, with an hourly rate up to £11.44 dependant on age. We have morning and evening shifts available. Shift working hours will be:

  • 7am - 3pm for breakfast shift.
  • 3pm - 10pm/11pm for evening dinner service.

Qualifications & Experience

Due to the nature of this role you must be over 18. Previous catering experience would be great but not essential. We will give you all the training you need to be the best at this role. Flexibility in availability is preferred. Willingness to learn. A positive can-do attitude.
