We are currently recruiting for a Duty Manager to be a part of our integral team at Northwood HQ, Sandy Lane, Northwood HA6 3HP.

What you'll be doing:
- Operational Delivery: Operational management and financial performance of the unit food and beverage function. Work closely with the Head Chef and Bar Stewards to ensure correct stock levels are maintained. Manage and account for client specialist stock. Ensure quarterly client tariff reviews for Mess Bars are completed in line with contractual specification and client profit return agreement. Champion excellent customer service and effectively implement all customer communication tools. Manage and direct the effective delivery of special functions or events. Ensure all weekly menus are JSP compliant and accurately presented to the Mess Members. Work and develop good commercial relationships with suppliers, ensuring receipt of service and quality levels required to obtain the highest financial return. Ensure all daily paper/computer work is complete and that inventories and client reports are completed correctly and at the right time.
- Compliance: Knowledge of all applicable personnel policies, labour laws and agreements. Ensure strict compliance with Aramark Hygiene and Safety requirements.
- Finance: Act as a purchasing officer and budget controller for the Food and Beverage function of the Mess with support from Team Leaders/Senior Team Leaders.
- Team Management: Line management, scheduling and performance management of Team Leaders/Senior Team Leaders, Senior/Head Chefs on site and, in some cases, direct line management of Team Members. Plan and lead team management meetings and daily briefings.
- Health and Safety: Ensure workpacks and staff training records are maintained as per company policy. Ensure that any equipment issues that may result in causing risk to staff or clients and customers are reported to the health and safety helpline. Ensure that all food diaries on site are checked and actions taken as appropriate.
Experience: Previous management experience in the food services or retail industry. Ability and full confidence in producing reports across all areas of the business. Lead by example, be able to manage a team of colleagues and have a positive, can-do attitude. A DBS check will be required. Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 or 3. Health and Safety qualification level 2. Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation.
