Thorpe Park are now recruiting Kitchen Porters for the 2025 season. Are you currently working in hospitality but looking for a little more fun in your role? Do you like the idea of working in a theme park environment? Well, we have a fabulous opportunity to work within our park and hotel operations. This role is based in one of our main restaurants working alongside our amazing team of chefs and cooks.

The Role

In this role you'll help to ensure that the facilities in our kitchens are maintained to the highest standards. We need people to help keep the strictest levels of cleanliness in the food preparation areas, by working closely with all of the chefs in our busy kitchens. Working straight shifts on a rota basis, the role offers excellent prospects for those interested in a career as a chef or any other aspect of the catering industry. We proactively seek to develop all of our employees who show promise. We have full and part-time morning and evening shifts available. This role is available until November 2025.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting chefs with basic food preparation. This may involve cutting, peeling and washing food items.
  • Keeping the kitchen clean and providing a safe working environment for all.
  • Preparing the kitchen area prior to service.
  • Supporting with deliveries and making sure stock is tidy.
  • Working as part of a team to ensure the operation runs smoothly.
  • Washing and cleaning dishes.

Requirements and skills

  • Previous kitchen experience would be great. However, all the training you need will be given to the right candidate.
  • Flexibility in availability is preferred. You will be required to work either morning or evening shifts.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Due to the nature of this role you must be over 18.
