A Day in the Life of a Food Service Assistant
Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers, perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and cooking (sandwiches, cold food), manage the front‑of‑house by clearing tables, providing table service and customer support, handle till work and accept payments, restock items and rotate stock, conduct general cleaning of front and back of house, sweep and mop to maintain high standards, and maintain a multi‑skilled, flexible, can‑do attitude with full training and support via our e‑learning portal.
Responsibilities
- Basic food preparation and sandwich assembly for grab‑and‑go foods.
- Operate tills and deliver excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all work areas.
- Support team with stock rotation, restocking, and multi‑skill duties.
Required Qualifications
- Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years and possess a legal right to work.
- Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
- Previous relevant experience (if applicable) is valued.
Key Details
Location: Coleg Cambria, Ruthin, LL15 2LB.
Position: Full‑time, 30 hours per week.
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 2:00 pm, on a rota basis (term‑time only).
Hourly rate: £12.
