We\’re hiring a Chef Supervisor to join our committed team at HMP Rye Hill. You\’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen, collaborating with enhanced inmates and aiding the smooth function of the unit.

Responsibilities

  • What You\’ll Do:
    • Collaborate with a team of chefs and enhanced inmates to deliver meals 3 times a day.
    • Supervise and assist enhanced inmates in the kitchen unit.
    • Prepare basic quality foods within a set pre‑ordered menu.
    • Ensure the kitchen is clean and tidy and all stock checks are conducted correctly.
    • Fill in all relevant paperwork and due diligence forms.
    • Be an excellent team player and be able to manage conflicts if they arise.
    • Undertake relevant training as required.

Requirements

  • Lived in the UK for the past 5 years and have a legal right to work.
  • Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks.
  • Previous supervisory skills.
  • Relevant culinary qualification.
  • Experience working in a large‑scale kitchen.

Pay & Hours

Pay: £13.75 per hour.

Hours: 37 hours per week.

Shifts: Rota – 3 days on, 3 days off.

Shift times: 07:00 – 18:00.
