We are looking for a Product Specialist to join our team and help deliver great outcomes for our clients using IBM Planning Analytics. This role is all about understanding client needs, designing smart solutions, and making sure those solutions are delivered to a high standard.
Whether you are working independently or as part of a project team, you will play a hands-on role in shaping, developing, and implementing Planning Analytics solutions that make a real difference to how our customers work.
What you will be doing
- Designing and building IBM Planning Analytics solutions, from initial scope through to delivery, using Aramar's documentation and development standards.
- Helping customers move their systems to the cloud, ensuring a smooth and secure migration process.
- Troubleshooting and supporting; when our support team needs backup, you will step in to help resolve more technical issues.
- Training and mentoring, sharing your knowledge with clients and team members so they can get the most from the tools.
- Advising on best practice, offering guidance to ensure customers are set up for success now and in the future.
You will also support our pre-sales efforts by:
- Preparing content for Statements of Work and Proposals, including solution designs, timelines, and resource estimates.
- Delivering software demonstrations and contributing technical expertise to help win new business.
- Creating proofs of concept that bring solutions to life during the sales process.
How we work
You could be leading the delivery of a small project on your own or working as part of a larger team on a complex programme. Either way, we will trust you to manage your time, track your progress, and keep things moving. That includes:
- Producing clear documentation for every project.
- Maintaining accurate project records and time logs.
- Regularly reviewing scope, timelines and resource needs to keep projects on track.
- Following our internal processes and Document Retention policy.
We place a lot of value on self-management and personal organisation, so you will need to be proactive, reliable, and comfortable juggling multiple projects.
The kind of experience we are looking for
We are after someone who knows Planning Analytics inside and out. Ideally, you will have at least a year of hands-on experience working with IBM Analytics software, and a proven track record of delivering projects. That said, we know everyone brings something different to the table, and we are interested in a range of technical skills, including:
- IBM Planning Analytics
- IBM Cognos Analytics / Controller
- ETL tools and basic DBA skills (SQL knowledge is a bonus)
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Financial modelling, reporting and data analysis
- Data visualisation
- Project or change management
You do not need to be an expert in everything. You will have the opportunity to grow your skills in areas that interest you.
The kind of person we are looking for
Beyond the technical skills, we are looking for someone who is:
- A clear communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Comfortable working with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Happy to share knowledge and ideas, and open to learning from others
- Able to prioritise tasks and stay calm when things get busy
- Diligent, detail-oriented, and able to follow through on what you start
We are a close-knit team that values collaboration, curiosity, and doing the right thing for our clients. If that sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
