About The Role
These are exciting times at ARAG Law as we've been through a period of positive change and sustained growth across our friendly and high‑performing Litigation and Dispute Management teams. We are looking for a Senior Associate in our Contract Disputes team to manage your own caseload end‑to‑end in a commercial manner – through the courts, litigation or the use of mediation and other ADR techniques. You will ensure the early assessment of the prospects of success for each claim, handle the claim in accordance with the client's legal expenses insurance policy, drive a culture of effective case handling, take personal ownership of customer problems until resolution, and work to deliver SLA’s, KPI’s and financial performance targets. You will also share knowledge and best practice with your wider team.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid role – minimum 2 days per week in our Bristol office (5 minutes’ walk from Bristol Temple Meads station). The role is ideally full‑time, but part‑time options are also considered (minimum 4 days a week or the equivalent hours).
About You
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Practitioner
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver against deadlines, KPI’s and SLA’s
- Proactive approach to managing your own caseload to a high standard
- Clear and demonstrable understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct
- Ability to work highly collaboratively with exceptional client care skills
- Negotiation skills, analytical and proactive approach to problem solving
