Senior Associate – Contract Disputes, within the Litigation and Dispute Management teams at ARAG Law.
This is a hybrid role – minimum 2 days per week in our Bristol office (5 minutes walk from Bristol Temple Meads station). The role is ideally full‑time but we can consider part‑time options (minimum 4 days a week or equivalent hours).
Responsibilities
- Manage your own caseload end‑to‑end in a commercial manner, through the courts, litigation or mediation and other ADR techniques.
- Ensure the early assessment of the prospects of success of each claim.
- Handle each claim in accordance with the requirements of the client’s legal expenses insurance policy.
- Drive a culture of effective and efficient case handling and take personal ownership of customer problems until resolution.
- Deliver on SLA’s, KPI’s, financial and performance targets.
- Share knowledge and best practice with the wider team.
Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX Practitioner.
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver against deadlines, KPI’s and SLA’s.
- Proactive approach to managing your own caseload to a high standard.
- Clear and demonstrable understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct.
- Ability to work highly collaboratively, with exceptional client care skills.
- Negotiation and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Resilience and motivation to provide high‑quality performance in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
