ARAG UK have an exciting new opportunity to join the team as a Training Team Leader to lead and manage the delivery of training across our claims teams. As Training Team Leader (Claims Academy), you’ll develop brilliant people and help raise capability across our Operational Claims department. This is an excellent opportunity to lead our Training Coaches and own the design and delivery of a high-impact onboarding programme, whilst measuring results and continually improving. This is a pivotal role, shaping learning that drives performance, quality, and compliance across the department. This is a full-time, permanent role that can be contractually based from either our Bristol or Bedwas office, with frequent travel between the two sites.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the design and continuous improvement of engaging, compliant training content aligned to Claims processes and systems.
  • Innovate learning delivery through blended, digital and in-the-moment coaching approaches.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and Claims leaders to ensure training supports performance outcomes and service levels.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of training coaches, building capability and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key point of contact for academy participants, monitoring progress and addressing development needs.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders to support smooth transitions from academy into operational roles.
  • Measure training effectiveness, report on outcomes and drive ongoing improvement.
  • Ensure all training activity meets regulatory and compliance requirements and supports resourcing needs.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record building training programmes, frameworks and robust competency checks that stick. You’ll demonstrate strong learning practice and methodology, with the flair to turn complex information into simple, engaging learning experiences. In addition, you’ll be a confident people leader and coach, ideally coaching qualified (or actively working towards it).

Additional skills required include:

  • Experience thriving in a regulated environment, bringing a strong quality and compliance mindset to everything you deliver.
  • An excellent facilitator, equally at home in the room or on screen, with strong organisation and stakeholder skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver standout, learner-friendly training content that drives confidence and capability.
  • Leadership experience, successfully leading a team and/or delivering high-impact projects from idea to launch.
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities, stay calm under pressure and keep delivery moving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Brilliant stakeholder management and clear, confident communication and able to influence at all levels.
  • Skilled at breaking down technical or process-heavy content into practical, memorable learning people can use straight away.
  • Confident evaluating training effectiveness—using learning needs analysis and action mapping to continually sharpen impact and meet business needs.
