These are exciting times at ARAG UK as we’ve been through a period of positive change and sustained growth across our friendly and high-performing teams. As a result, we are looking for someone to join us as a Data Protection Advisor in our Compliance team.

About the role:

The Data Protection Advisor shall assist the Data Protection and Compliance Assurance Manager in ensuring that the business remains compliant with its Data Protection obligations throughout the Group. Their primary role shall be to provide administrative support to the unit to assist it functions in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and internal Data Protection Policies. The Data Protection Advisor shall be responsible for the completion of Data Subject Rights Requests, including Data Subject Access Requests and the maintenance of the Data Subject Rights Requests log. In addition, the Data Protection Advisor shall provide assistance to the Data Protection and Compliance Assurance Manager and Technical Data Protection Advisor in audits, breach investigations and GDPR assessments.

About You:

  • Understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation
  • Experience within a data protection position
  • Experience in handling Data Subject Right requests
  • Evidence of effective problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to be organized in planning activities and assisting others to do so
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • A tenacious and effective approach to exceeding targets (both individually and through a team)
  • Drives delivery when working with ambiguity and change
