These are exciting times at ARAG UK as we’ve been through a period of positive change and sustained growth across our friendly and high-performing teams. As a result, we are looking for someone to join us as a Data Protection Advisor in our central Bristol office.
About the team:
Our Data Protection Team sit within our Compliance function and are responsible for overseeing compliance of our data protection obligations. This includes managing day-to-day data protection activities such as managing data protection breaches, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA’s), data sharing, data complaints and the processing of Individual Rights Requests e.g. Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR’s).
About the role:
In this role you’ll be assisting the Data Protection and Compliance Assurance Manager in ensuring that our business remains compliant with these Data Protection obligations throughout the ARAG Group.
You’ll provide accurate and timely administrative support to the team and be responsible for the completion of Data Subject Rights Requests (including DSAR’s) and the maintenance of the Data Subject Rights Requests log, as well as supporting with audits, breach investigations and GDPR assessments.
About you:
We are keen to hear from you if you have some previous administration experience, attention to detail, high levels of confidentiality and discretion, and an understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (and ideally some experience working within a role that incorporates this).
In addition, you\’ll be able to demonstrate high levels of accuracy and effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to organise effectively whilst managing multiple priorities.
Finally, you’ll demonstrate exceptional communication skills, relationship building and stakeholder management and you’ll be able to work at pace whilst maintaining a high-quality output.
Previous experience in handling Data Subject Right requests will be an advantage but is not essential.
