Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and creative Chef to join our office team to provide daily breakfast and lunch for approximately 50 employees. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing a variety of dishes, including healthy, nutritious meals that accommodate diverse dietary preferences (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.). This is an exciting opportunity to bring your culinary expertise to a collaborative, professional environment where you'll be appreciated for delivering fresh, delicious meals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Breakfast & Lunch: Plan, cook, and serve daily breakfast and lunch for around 60 employees, ensuring meals are high-quality, nutritious, and diverse.
  • Menu Planning: Design weekly menus that cater to varying tastes and dietary requirements (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, allergies). Keep meals exciting and balanced while using seasonal and fresh ingredients.
  • Food Preparation: Handle all aspects of food preparation, including chopping, cooking, and baking. Ensure that meals are ready on time and in sufficient quantities.
  • Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen. Manage inventory, including purchasing ingredients and equipment within the set budget. Track expiration dates and ensure that food safety standards are followed at all times.
  • Presentation & Service: Ensure food is presented in an appealing way and served promptly. Set up a buffet or self-serve station for employees to easily access meals.
  • Cost Management: Work with the office manager or relevant department to manage meal budgets. Source affordable, high-quality ingredients to keep food costs within set limits.
  • Clean-Up & Maintenance: Clean up after meal service, including dishes, kitchen equipment, and work surfaces. Ensure all tools and kitchen areas are properly sanitized.
  • Special Events: Occasionally assist with special office events, such as holiday parties, client meetings, or team celebrations, by providing catering or special menus.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a chef, preferably in a corporate, restaurant, or catering environment.
  • Expertise in various cuisines, including healthy options and special diets (vegan, gluten-free, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations independently, including purchasing and inventory management.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Friendly, professional demeanour with good communication skills.
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.

Preferred Qualifications:
