Our dearly loved bare brick Victorian railway arch is home to our first restaurant in the heart of Borough Market – where our journey started way back in the early Noughties as ‘Market Traders’. Atmospheric at any time of day with the lively bustle of market life and a soundtrack to lift your spirit. We are searching for an experienced and talented Kitchen Porter to join the Arabica team!

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PASSIONATE KITCHEN PORTER WHO CAN

  • Ensure all opening, handover and closing duties are completed as per Arabica’s Standards
  • Make sure that all the pots, pans and dishes are cleaned regularly throughout service and stored correctly, in the right place, and in a neat order.
  • Ensure dishwasher is working correctly, at the required temperature, with correct levels of detergent and that the filters and inside are kept clean.
  • Assist in preparation of the food as requested
  • Provide basic support to the kitchen team
  • Ensure the daily, weekly and monthly Kitchen cleaning duties are carried out thoroughly.
  • Support your work colleagues and ensure that a team spirit is fostered at all times.

Health & Safety

  • Work cleanly, hygienically and safely at all times
  • Report any food hygiene/ H&S issues or incidents to the Manager on duty straight away
  • Ensure that all areas within the kitchen are maintained to the agreed standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Organize, record and control the temperatures of all refrigerated units

Additional Responsibilities

  • Any other reasonable task as requested by the head chef and sous chefs
