Field Service Mechanical Fitter and become part of a team that delivers world-class service to power plants across the UK and around the world. From 2MW to 2000MW units, you’ll be at the heart of installation, inspection, maintenance, and reassembly of power units and their auxiliaries—executed Safely, on Budget, and with the right Quality.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Travel to customer sites to perform mechanical services on steam turbines and generators.
  • Carry out installation, stripdown, inspection, and reassembly of large rotating and static machinery.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and implement repairs with high accuracy.
  • Build collaborative and trusted customer relationships and serve as an interface between the customer and Arabelle Solutions.
  • Collaborate with your local team to deliver efficient service across assigned areas.
  • Work under strict Foreign Material Exclusion rules.
  • Promote a safe working environment and comply with EHS policies and integrity guidelines.

Who You Are:

  • Recognised time-served apprenticeship, HNC, City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent in Mechanical Studies.
  • Deep knowledge of steam turbines, generator technology, and large machinery.
  • Understand all aspects of mechanical engineering measuring techniques to very high tolerances.
  • Experience in: Large turbine generator overhaul; Rotor handling; Hydrogen seal dismantle/assembly; Bearing removal/exchange (4” to 21” Dia); Concentricity & alignments; Auxiliaries & pumps.
  • Supportive team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Driving license.

Travel Requirements:

This role involves extensive travel to various field assignments and project sites, both in the UK and internationally.
