The Service Engineer – Control Gear role reports to the Manager of the Service Engineering Rugby, and involves working closely with senior engineers within the Steam Turbine Control Gear overhaul sub‑team. The position focuses on learning and developing expertise in control gear systems, contributing to overhaul and repair activities, and ensuring high standards of technical accuracy, documentation, and process compliance.

Your Role

  • Build technical knowledge of control gear products and associated systems.
  • Support senior team members in overhaul and repair activities.
  • Take ownership of overhaul tasks, provide repair recommendations, and deliver reports on time.
  • Create overhaul specifications and support design/repair work for control gear and steam valves.
  • Troubleshoot components during testing phase and resolve technical issues.
  • Follow Arabelle Solutions systems, processes, and established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and update documentation as required.
  • Support supply of new parts, for either individual parts or assemblies.
  • Participate in internal and external stakeholder meetings.
  • Communicate clearly, producing well structured reports and respond to technical queries.

Your Profile

  • Specialist knowledge of control gear systems (advantageous).
  • Mechanical engineering background.
  • Experience in nuclear, oil.
