We are seeking an experienced Quality Improvement Leader / Engineer to lead and support the implementation of continuous improvement within our service centre quality function. Working in close collaboration with the horizontal quality team and service centre operations, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, nuclear safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Lead and prioritize continuous improvement initiatives across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC)
- Ensure compliance with nuclear industry standards, including traceability and documentation requirements
- Implement and maintain Standard Work and plant processes
- Map all site processes and subprocesses
- Define and approve review methods and support documentation
- Organize process reviews and ensure follow-up actions
- Conduct pre-shop quality documentation reviews and risk management (PFMEA)
- Manage the ISO 19443 Nuclear Safety Maturity Assessment Plan and implement opportunities for improvement
- Analyse internal and external non-conformities, identify root causes, and lead corrective and preventive actions
- Collaborate with Production, Methods, Sales Administration, and Project Purchasing teams on cross-functional initiatives
- Conduct and manage internal, customer, and regulatory audits (ISO 9001, ISO 19443)
- Lead Lean transformation activities using KPI-based performance management
- Champion Kaizen, facilitating events that drive measurable improvements
- Coach teams at all organizational levels to strengthen a continuous improvement culture
- Support daily management processes, including daily meetings and Gemba walks
- Act as Deputy Site Quality Leader when required
- Engineering or Science degree (or equivalent)
- Strong industrial/manufacturing background
- Minimum 10 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- At least 10 years' experience in continuous improvement within a production site
- Strong proficiency in Lean / CI tools, with the ability to train and coach others
- Experience leading small teams and driving change initiatives on the shopfloor
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 19443, QMS, and customer requirements
- Expertise in Lean principles and tools (8D, 5M, FMEA, PFMEA, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
- Proficiency with ERP, MRP, and office software
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to influence without direct authority and manage multiple priorities
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and solution-oriented approach
- Strong respect for nuclear safety and traceability requirements
- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Contribute to critical nuclear energy infrastructure
- Lead impactful continuous improvement and lean transformation initiatives
- Work in a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance environment
