Construction Manager
The Construction Manager is responsible for the preparation, coordination, and execution of all site activities related to mechanical and electrical works. This role ensures seamless collaboration with internal and external partners, oversees subcontractor performance, manages the M&E budget and planning, and upholds the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with head office the constructability, subcontractors selection and scope;
- Develop and execute a management strategy for the management, supervision and coordination of the site erection works, to include dynamic interface with civil works and other external contractors or partners;
- Develop a system to keep the schedule, milestones / key dates, resources and budget at the forefront of the overall erection management strategy;
- Develop mitigation plans to minimize impacts: NCR, punched items, forensic events;
- Maintain good communication with subcontractors, partners, the client and project stakeholders;
- Ensure ITNS-I, Site QRA and graded approach are executed as per the project requirements;
- Ensure CFSI are managed and reported, if any;
- Develop and implement an efficient system for all erection activity: preparation, completion, closeout and turnover to commissioning;
- Develop the plan for allocation of site infrastructure and facilities to the subcontractors or the major erection divisions;
- Overview execution of the subcontracts: scope, progress and costs;
- Implement and execute the Cost Control Management System as developed by senior construction management;
- Assist the Site Director to prepare the quarterly Construction Project Review;
- Assist the NCC Manager and the Site Contract Manager;
- M&E team set-up and management;
- Set up and maintain an information system for receiving, managing and issuing erection information, reports, data, comprehensive daily log, etc. and to ensure that all erection documentation is approved for construction and issued to subordinates;
- Develop and implement a system to effectively execute the production of record and documentation (Red Correx, Site Work Conformance File);
- Participate in development of the strategic overall EHS and Quality plan within the framework of the Arabelle Solutions EHS and Quality Policies pertinent to the site erection works and promulgate this plan to erection subordinates and partners;
- Actively participate to NCC, forensic, punched items site committee;
- Issue a Field Service Report;
- Organize REX (Return of Experience) to project stakeholders;
- Prepare data on overall progress, completed activity, forecast to completion, problem encountered, subcontractor’s performance, EHS report, NCC and Cost follow-up, material problems, manpower report, etc.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Higher education in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or Business Administration
- Extensive experience in site construction execution
- Background in the energy sector and project management
- Proven ability to build relationships across cultures and organizational levels
- High integrity, managerial skills, and sound judgment
- Experience in negotiation, presentation, and decision-making
- Awareness of Quality Management principles
- High proficiency in English

L\’Adjoint au directeur de chantier est responsable de la coordination des travaux sur site dans le cadre de projets nucléaires (maintenance, installation ou construction). Il/elle encadre les équipes d’intervention, veille au respect strict des exigences de sûreté nucléaire, des règles EHS, des normes qualité, des délais et du budget. Il/elle représente l’entreprise sur le terrain et assure l’interface entre les équipes internes, les sous-traitants, le client et les autorités locales. Il/elle est garant(e) de l’exécution technique dans le respect des référentiels réglementaires du nucléaire.
ACTIVITÉS SIGNIFICATIVES
Activités opérationnelles
- Mettre en œuvre et faire respecter le plan EHS et les exigences de sûreté nucléaire sur le chantier.
- Appliquer les procédures qualité spécifiques au secteur nucléaire (ex : RCC-M, ISO 19443).
- Suivre l’avancement des travaux et mettre à jour le planning d’exécution.
- Coordonner les activités des sous-traitants et des équipes internes dans le respect des exigences contractuelles et réglementaires.
- Assurer la traçabilité documentaire des activités réalisées (FNC, PV, rapports de contrôle…).
- Participer aux inspections qualité, audits internes et externes, et aux réunions de coordination avec le client.
- Identifier les écarts et mettre en œuvre les actions correctives nécessaires.
- Garantir la conformité des travaux avec les exigences techniques, réglementaires et contractuelles.
Activités managériales
- Encadrer les équipes chantier (jusqu’à 50 personnes) et superviser la sous traitance
- Organiser les tâches quotidiennes et répartir les ressources selon les priorités.
- Veiller au respect des règles de discipline, de sécurité et de sûreté.
- Participer à l’intégration des nouveaux arrivants et à la sensibilisation EHS/sûreté.
- Contribuer à la montée en compétences des collaborateurs (coaching, tutorat, formations).
- Être moteur dans la culture de retour d’expérience (REX) et d’amélioration continue.
COMPÉTENCES PROFESSIONNELLES SPÉCIFIQUES
- Formation technique (BTS, DUT, Licence pro ou équivalent) en génie civil, électrotechnique, mécanique ou nucléaire.
- Expérience confirmée en gestion de chantier dans un environnement nucléaire.
- Connaissance des référentiels réglementaires (RCC-M, INB, INBS, ISO 19443…).
- Maîtrise des outils de planification et de suivi de chantier.
- Solides compétences en communication, leadership et gestion de crise.
- Capacité à travailler dans un environnement fortement réglementé.
- Maîtrise des règles de sûreté nucléaire et des exigences EHS.
- Mobilité nationale et internationale selon les projets.
PRÉREQUIS EHS, SÛRETÉ & QUALITÉ
- Respect strict des consignes EHS et des procédures de sûreté nucléaire.
- Habilitations nucléaires requises (SCN1/2, CSQ, RP1/2, H0/B0…).
- Formation EHS et sûreté obligatoire (initiale et continue).
- Connaissance des processus d’animation EHS et de gestion des écarts.
- Fiche d’aptitude médicale à jour.
- Sensibilité forte aux enjeux de sécurité, de radioprotection et de traçabilité.
- Respect des règles d’éthique, de conformité et de confidentialité.
