The Turbine Steam Path Mechanical Design Engineer will be in charge of the mechanical design of the various components of the ARABELLE Nuclear Steam Turbine.

More specifically, the integration of the moving blades and standard diaphragms.

An important element is the coordination of studies within the department in order to ensure the continuous improvement of the product, in particular by integrating feedback and the results of cost reduction and performance improvement programs.

This position includes the portfolio of ARABELLE machines for 50 and 60Hz nuclear power plants associated with all types of nuclear reactors worldwide.

Your role and impact within the team

  • Perform mechanical calculation and design of steam path components, including moving blades and diaphragms
  • Validate 3D models, drawings, and manufacturing plans produced by the design office
  • Coordinate and lead specific technical studies within the design office
  • Provide technical guidance to designers, especially on complex or critical technologies
  • Ensure design standards and mechanical documentation are continuously updated and applied
  • Ensure manufacturing documentation is delivered on time and supports industrialization needs
  • Industrialize the products designed in conjunction with the various factories, and more particularly those involved in the manufacture of blades and diaphragms.
  • Support contract execution by resolving technical issues and manufacturing non‑conformities
  • Drive continuous improvement by integrating factory and site feedback, cost‑reduction initiatives, and performance programs
  • Follow the PDQ / TDQ process for the development of new products and participate in the corresponding reviews (design reviews and gate reviews)
  • Support project teams during customer meetings and contribute to technical offers
  • Participate in the deployment of official design tools (P3DM) such as CATIA V5, VPDM and RPDM
  • Store all technical documentation relating to the execution of R&D in the official Info System database

Your profile

  • Engineering degree with a strong mechanical background or equivalent
  • Experience in a mechanical design office (energy, oil & gas, aeronautics, or special machinery)
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical design, calculations, and manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of rotating machinery
  • Proficient with office tools (Excel, Word, MS Project)
  • Rigorous, autonomous, and well‑organized, with strong deadline awareness
  • Proactive mindset with sound judgment and decision‑making ability
  • Results‑oriented and process‑driven
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English
