Role Overview

Reporting to the UK Sourcing Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing an existing supply chain, ensuring that components are delivered according to Safety, Quality, Cost and Time as per the project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and manage existing terms and conditions, manage claims and vendor recovery.
  • Order fulfilment tasks to ensure material on‑time delivery, PO placement and invoice management, and expediting.
  • Develop and maintain reporting metrics for the project.
  • Co‑ordinate supplier and product qualification together with Quality & Engineering teams.
  • Review supplier performance (schedule, CoQ, manufacturing, quality) to identify risks to the program and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Manage and review buyer metrics ensuring KPI adherence.
  • Develop alternate sources and/or risk mitigation plans for single and sole‑source suppliers.
  • Identify and deliver value‑adding opportunities from the supply chain.
  • Manage and improve supplier relationship and demonstrate the ability to communicate problems and present solutions with internal and external customers at senior levels.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience in sourcing and procurement, including high‑value and complex projects.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to flex and adapt to different scenarios.
  • Self‑starter with drive, able to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment.
  • Motivation, teamwork, trust, credibility and capability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience within power industry related products.
  • Previous SC clearance due to product (not essential).
  • Main suppliers are UK based; must be able to travel when required.
  • Project management skills, schedule management a must.
  • Quality and supplier quality experience would be beneficial.
  • Interpersonal skills, managing people and situations including contract issues.
  • Able to adapt and work quickly to project situations.
  • Ability to manage various workstreams at the same time.
  • Management of change (engineering, quality, escalations) and reporting to senior management both at the supplier and Arabelle Solutions.
  • Experience on SAP, Microsoft packages including MS Project.

This work is undertaken with UK Defence customers which will require any individual applying for the role to hold or be capable of obtaining SC Level clearance as a UK passport holder. Applicants not cleared will not be accepted into the business until this clearance is provided. Dual passport holders are acceptable if the second country is approved by the vetting authority.

You’ll manage suppliers that are proven in their commodity and expect strong communication at all levels, internal and external customer.
