Arabelle Solutions seeks a Production Supervisor to lead production operations focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols.
- Ensure that products meet quality standards by implementing and maintaining quality assurance protocols throughout the production process.
- Analyse production workflows and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
- Oversee training and coaching of employees, providing development opportunities.
- Set and manage production budgets and hold teams accountable for performance.
- Manage developing apprentices to future-proof the business.
- Work flexible hours across shift rotations; weekend work on a rotation basis between the supervisor team.
Essential Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in a heavy manufacturing or production environment with a strong understanding of production processes and machinery.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a diverse team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
- Ability to quickly identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Familiarity with production management software and tools for scheduling, reporting, and inventory control.
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role within a heavy manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
- Minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical/Electro-mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Experience with various manufacturing machinery and tools; Steam Turbine product knowledge advantageous.
- Experience or knowledge of Lean principles within manufacturing.
- Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field (advantage).
