Position: CAD Technician – Full-time
Location: Rugby
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Create 3D CAD models and detailed production drawings using CATIA.
- Work closely with the design project team to support concept development, mechanical analysis, and final production configurations.
- Using in-house tools for life cycle management and material ordering, create parts lists and bills of materials (BOMs) to allow ordering and manufacture within the supply chain.
- Assist Mechanical Design Engineers in creating models to satisfy design solutions and engage with suppliers and wider project team to aid production configuration.
What We’re Looking For:
- HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with CATIA (or similar 3D CAD software) – essential.
- Ability to create and read technical drawings.
- Familiarity with Geometric Tolerancing, Limits and Fits and production techniques such as casting, welding and forging.
- Experience with rotating industrial equipment (turbines, pumps, gears, compressors) is beneficial.
- Work with UK Defence customers – requires SC Level clearance or ability to obtain it. Applicants not cleared will not be accepted into the business until clearance is provided.
- Dual passport holders are acceptable if the second country is approved by the vetting authority.
