Teach in the Bachelor of Medical Imaging programme. Join experienced clinicians and educators at Manawa. Lead clinical practice and teach future MITs in a dynamic team at Manawa. Shape the future of medical imaging! Teach and inspire future MITs at Christchurch Hospital. Join expert educators and lead in diagnostic radiography.
You will teach in the Bachelor of Medical Imaging (BMI) programme, working with a team of staff who are experienced clinicians and educators. You are expected to be a qualified MIT with current registration and recent experience in general diagnostic radiography.
No teaching experience? No problem — we will support you with training and mentoring to help you thrive in the role. We have a variety of clinical hours available - let us know if you want part time or full time and join a team committed to work-life balance.
Qualifications:- 2+ years clinical experience
- Current New Zealand Scope of Practice Medical Imaging Technologist
- Current industry/discipline knowledge with recent experience
- Knowledge of or ability to learn Health NZ process and protocols
- A broad range of clinical skills
- Vision, innovation, and a commitment to facilitating own and others' learning
- Flexibility to work in a range of theoretical and clinical courses
- Capable of supporting students to achieve their learning outcomes
- Digital literacy including competence using a computer (including Microsoft Office products)
- Effective communication with a diverse range of others, at all levels within and outside the organisation
- MIT with current registration and recent experience in general diagnostic radiography
- Passionate about medical imaging and the opportunities to improve practice or give back to the health sector through education
