A Leading Construction PLC is looking to recruit a Category Manager on an initial 6 month fixed term contract to manage the re-tender of a high profile fleet contract.

Key duties will include:

  • Initially meet with Head of Fleet and Fleet Managers to understand requirements from new suppliers.
  • Identify new suppliers, then create and issue ITTs.
  • Run the tender and create balanced scorecards, presenting options to Director level stakeholders.
  • Manage the contract award, and mobilise the handover to the existing fleet team.
  • Likely to be extending a further 3-6 months to support the contract once it has gone live.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is looking for experienced category management professionals with a minimum of 5 years' category management experience for any large complex company. Must have strong experience managing a wide variety of complex indirect and services categories. Must have strong experience in creating category strategies for a portfolio of national or global spend.

Remuneration Between £25,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)
