About the Job:
Reason for vacancy: The Senior Commercial Manager required a new hire to help manage five high pressure gas pipeline diversions for Network Rail, as part of their TransPennine electrification programme.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop commercial and procurement strategies across a portfolio of regional utility capital projects.
- Senior Quantity Surveyors with strong infrastructure project experience from relevant contractors or subcontractors, who can commute weekly across West Yorkshire.
- Experience of developing commercial and procurement strategies as well as post-contract management of variations and claims to a high level.
- Finding candidates of an appropriate calibre within the salary band, as Northern Gas Networks salary bands didn’t initially line up to the pool of contracting candidates with relevant project exposure and client-facing stakeholder experience.
