A high profile global £multi-billion main contractor is looking to recruit a Procurement Lead.
The main objective of the role is to deliver a national procurement strategy for their Scotland business unit.
Key duties will include:
- Develop and deploy the procurement and supply chain strategy for the Scotland business unit
- Lead and develop a large procurement team
- Deliver strategies across category, supply chain and relationship management
- Manage internal stakeholder requirements up to board level
- Support with subcontract procurement for high profile packages
- Support operational teams with the delivery of regional projects
- Part of the Senior Leadership Team for the Scotland business unit

Managing director level stakeholders across the Scottish business unit and clients
Candidate Requirements
Minimum of 5+ years experience leading procurement for a main construction or engineering contractor, or leading engineering manufacturer
Ideally you will currently be working as a Senior Procurement Manager, or an experienced Procurement Manager who is looking for progression
Demonstrate experience of developing and deploying a regional or sector procurement strategy
Demonstrate experience of leading and developing a medium – large procurement teams
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at director level
Highly resilient, with gravitas and strength of character to ensure strategies are successfully delivered
Demonstrable track record of achievements from previous jobs
Relevant degree or CIPS is desirable
