A Leading Infrastructure Contractor is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their team. The main objective of the role is to help deliver the procurement strategy for a variety of high profile power projects.

  • Manage the tender process for subcontract packages.
  • Procure major material packages.
  • Responsible for full end to end contract management across NEC4 frameworks.
  • Identify synergies and leveraging opportunities across the supply chain.
  • Managing senior stakeholders effectively, understanding their priorities, and proactively managing their expectations.

  • Be part of a strong procurement team who will help deliver several major UK power projects over the next 10 years.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Our client is looking for candidates with 4-5 years strategic procurement experience.
  • You will currently be working as a Senior Buyer or Category Specialist for a medium to large infrastructure contractor or regulated organisation working on construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Ideally you will have strong subcontract procurement understanding and/or overhead lines category experience and have led or assisted with category plans in your current or past roles.
  • Should they struggle to identify the above candidate profile, they would be open to meeting Procurement Specialists with 3+ years category management experience, again for a reputable main contractor.
