A Leading Regulated Industry Organisation is looking for four Principal Quantity Surveyors to join their major capital project teams based across the South East. The main objective of the role is to deliver the commercial assurance strategy for a major water framework.
Key duties will include:
- Deliver the commercial assurance strategy for a major water framework.
- Lead and develop a medium sized commercial team, supporting them towards chartership.
- Ensure cost management against the budget, highlighting commercial challenges early.
- Deliver monthly commercial governance and assurance reporting on contract performance.
- Provide contractual advice and guidance to delivery teams.
- Support procurement with the drafting of contracts.
- Senior stakeholder management with delivery teams, contractors and consultancies.
- Support the Managing Quantity Surveyor with the resolution of claims and disputes.

Managing a major infrastructure framework based in the south east, worth many billions. Lead and develop a medium sized commercial team, including 2 direct reports. Ensuring the team are challenging and agreeing on project tenders, and managing change / time extensions, together with ensuring that payments are made on time and in accordance with the contract.
Candidate Requirements
You’ll have at least 8 years experience working in the public sector / regulated industry or for a construction contractor or cost consultancy, with experience of delivering infrastructure projects. You’ll have many years experience commercially managing IChemE or NEC contracts, with a strong understanding of managing contract risks and disputes. You’ll be working as a Commercial Manager / Managing Quantity Surveyor or as a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for progression, with strong experience of managing medium sized commercial teams.
