A Leading Construction Contractor is looking for a Commercial Manager to join their team based in Central London. The main objective of the role is to lead the work winning and delivery of a large regional construction project for a high profile public sector organisation.
You will:
- Provide strong project leadership, owning the project commercial strategy throughout the bid, mobilisation, delivery and financial close out lifecycle.
- Initially support bid teams with work-winning on a 2-stage design and build contract, once won, build a medium sized surveying team to help deliver the project.
- Lead commercial governance and compliance pre and post contract for assigned large project.
- Use financial expertise to grow profitability for the project and business unit.
- Successfully manage the commercial requirements of Director level internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with other functions such as design, operations and preconstruction throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Requirements
Our client is looking for experienced commercial professionals ready for a new challenge. Ideally you will currently be working as a Senior Commercial Manager, or as an experienced Commercial Manager who is looking for career progression. You will have a minimum of 10 years experience delivering the commercial requirements for projects and frameworks in a main contractor environment. You will have a minimum of 3 years leadership experience developing commercial project strategies and leading small to medium sized commercial teams. Must have a demonstrable track record of seeing projects through the full lifecycle from work winning, mobilisation, project delivery and financial close out.
