A leading building services contractor is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to deliver a number of contracts across The Midlands and the South East. The main objective of the role is to develop and implement the procurement strategies for a portfolio of national capital fit out healthcare contracts.
Key duties will include:
- Developing and delivering the project procurement strategy for national capital fit out contracts.
- Leading end-to-end procurement for capital works subcontractors and suppliers.
- Managing subcontractor tendering across live contracts.
- Category management of subcontractor services and material suppliers.
- Ensuring stakeholders are following procurement strategies and policies.
- Achieving cost reduction and contract profitability targets.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a top 10 national contractor and solely manage a portfolio of high profile long-term healthcare contracts for the business. In this standalone role, you will own all healthcare contracts nationally, allowing you the autonomy to create the procurement strategy for each contract and deliver these strategies end-to-end. This role will allow you to gain strong exposure across the wider business unit through interfacing with senior manager level stakeholders.
Further details include responsibility for the management and delivery of a portfolio of capital fit out and mechanical and electrical projects across various healthcare client estates nationally. Individual projects range in value from £5m-£50m and are based across the Midlands, Cambridgeshire, and Greater London. You will manage a wide selection of healthcare clients nationally, developing and managing strong relationships with them.
Candidate requirements include a minimum of 5+ years' strategic procurement experience managing MEP categories of spend. They would also consider individuals with strong experience of procuring hard services categories within a healthcare environment. You will have strong demonstrable strategic procurement experience, including end-to-end tendering with subcontractors, managing material suppliers and subcontractors, and engaging with senior manager level stakeholders.
