A leading infrastructure contractor is looking to recruit a Procurement Manager to join their Birmingham office. The main objective of the role is to develop and deliver a national procurement strategy for the materials buying desk, you will:
- Lead a medium sized transactional buying team.
- Manage the procurement of materials and plant across national projects.
- Manage project procurement budgets, ensuring cost control and value for money.
- Deliver the requirements of senior stakeholders and project teams to ensure procurement delivers a first class service.
- Monitor and report on procurement performance KPIs, including savings and OTIF.
- Support the Head of Procurement in delivering various strategic procurement initiatives.

Further Details: Leading a team of 6 (Hire Controllers, Buyers, Senior Buyers). All Plant and Materials, no Subcontracts. 70% of spend is covered by frameworks, 30% will require new supplier sourcing. Managing 700-800 requisitions a month / 1k orders a month. Procurement Manager and Senior Buyer will lead new supplier sourcing and tendering.
Candidate Requirements: Our client is looking for Procurement Managers or experienced Senior Buyers looking for progression. You must have strong infrastructure project experience, across either highways, rail or water projects. You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience managing small to medium sized buying teams.
