AR Design Studio is seeking a talented architect, Part 2 architectural assistant or architectural technologist to join its team in Winchester, UK. AR Design Studio is an award-winning architectural practice based in the beautiful city of Winchester. We work on a diverse range of ambitious residential projects across the UK, with a particular focus on bespoke one-off homes, extensions, refurbishments and sensitive sites.

We are looking for experienced and technically focused people to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys turning ambitious architectural ideas into well-resolved, buildable projects and wants to be involved from design development through to construction.

The role

The successful candidate will play an important role in the technical delivery of projects, working closely with architects, clients, consultants and contractors. Responsibilities will include:

  • developing architectural information from concept through to construction
  • producing detailed technical drawings and construction information
  • developing construction details and specifications
  • coordinating information with structural engineers and other consultants
  • preparing information for Building Regulations and technical approvals
  • reviewing and incorporating consultant information
  • working with contractors and subcontractors during construction
  • attending site meetings and assisting with resolving technical issues
  • assisting with contract administration where appropriate
  • ensuring technical information is coordinated, accurate and buildable
  • contributing to projects across multiple RIBA work stages

About you

We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge who is passionate about high-quality architecture and construction. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications or equivalent experience. We would love to hear from architects, Part 2s or technologists who are technically strong, detail-focused and passionate about delivering high-quality architecture.
