Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:00
We are currently recruiting for an experienced B2 FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Hull. Our client is part of a globally recognised group, producing high-quality building materials used across commercial projects, data centres, and infrastructure. Their Hull site is a key UK operation, known for its modern facilities, strong health & safety standards, and focus on sustainability and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking team in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 during initial training. Moving to rotating shifts once trained:
- 06:00 – 14:00
- 14:00 – 22:00
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Counterbalance FLTs (B2 licence required)
- Loading and unloading lorries and trailers
- Transporting goods and materials safely across site
- Supplying raw materials to production lines and removing finished goods
- Using handheld scanners and warehouse systems to maintain accurate stock records
- Keeping work areas clean, organised, and compliant with health & safety standards
- Following operational procedures and reporting to supervisors
Requirements
- Valid, in-date B2 Counterbalance FLT licence
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Experience using handheld scanners and WMS/stock systems
- Ability to safely load and unload vehicles
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Please note: A B2 licence covers forklift trucks with a lifting capacity between 5,000kg and 15,000kg.
