Job Vacancy: Tool Setter (Injection Moulding) Location: Brough (HU15) Hours: 22:00 – 06:00 Salary: Up to £33,500 Are you looking to take the next step in your career with a pivotal role in a prestigious manufacturing firm? We are seeking a Tool Setter (Injection Moulding) to join our dynamic team and ensure seamless production processes by maintaining high-quality standards and optimising machine uptime. Key Responsibilities: Set tools in presses and initiate start-up in accordance with production requirements. Ensure the safe operation of Injection Moulding Presses, including start-up and shutdown. Prepare tools and equipment for tool changes, including proficient use of cranes for slinging and lifting tools. Present first-off parts to the Quality Department and ensure compliance with Quality and Standard Operating Procedures. Set up robot heads and load programmes efficiently. Report faults to the tool-room or maintenance teams as per company protocols. Complete job packs accurately before and during tool changes, recording deviations and troubleshooting issues proactively. Assist in process improvements under the guidance of the Process Engineer or Lead Setter. Conduct safety checks, maintain housekeeping around machine areas, and carry out routine maintenance checks. Participate in SMED activities, work towards KPI targets related to tool change times and OEE data. Perform colour changes and undertake additional projects as required by management. Candidate Profile: Proven experience in a similar role within injection moulding. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. Commitment to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
