Aqumen Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established international manufacturing business looking to strengthen its night shift engineering team. We welcome engineers with either an electrical or mechanical bias. You will work across a varied range of production equipment, from established legacy machinery to modern automated systems, helping improve reliability and keep production running safely. The role Diagnose faults and repair production machinery, identifying the cause of failures. Respond safely to breakdowns and carry out planned preventative maintenance. Interpret electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams and mechanical drawings. Carry out PLC fault finding and support equipment reliability improvements. Record maintenance activity accurately using the CMMS system. Follow safe isolation procedures and maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping. A time served engineering apprenticeship and ONC, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent qualification. At least two years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault finding skills and PLC diagnostic experience. Experience of root cause analysis and improving equipment reliability. A methodical approach, good organisational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team. Salary and benefits £40,000 per year, with 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays, an excellent pension, life assurance, health benefits, employee support and discounts, subsidised canteen and free onsite parking.
