Manufacturing Operatives Wanted
Aqumen Recruitment is recruiting Manufacturing Operatives on behalf of a well-established food ingredients manufacturer based in Ossett. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive production environment, manufacturing and packing high-quality food ingredient products to clearly defined specifications. The role is hands-on and fast-paced, with a strong focus on safety, hygiene, quality and teamwork. You must be able to commit to the rotating 12-hour shift pattern and be willing to work across different areas of the production department when required. Full training will be provided where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and pack food ingredient products in line with written specifications.
- Set up, operate and monitor production lines, machinery and associated equipment.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practice, HACCP, hygiene, quality and product-protection procedures.
- Check that raw materials are approved and suitable for use.
- Weigh, label, handle and store ingredients and materials correctly.
- Complete production, quality and traceability records accurately.
- Monitor production rates and report delays, faults or quality issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic working environment.
- Support production output, efficiency, quality and waste-reduction targets.
- Complete clear and effective handovers between shifts.
- Assist with stock counts and other operational duties when required.
- Operate equipment safely, including forklift trucks where trained and authorised.
- Attend any training required to maintain compliance and improve performance.
