An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Yard FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established food manufacturing business based in Ossett. Working as part of the Yard Team, you'll play a key role in keeping site operations running smoothly. This position involves operating a Counterbalance FLT, moving stock and materials around the yard, loading and unloading vehicles, and supporting general yard activities. As the role is predominantly yard-based, candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 (core hours). Flexibility required to provide holiday cover across other shift patterns, including nights and rotating shifts. Candidates must be willing to support both day and night shifts when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safe operation of a Counterbalance FLT
  • Loading and unloading deliveries
  • Moving stock, pallets and materials around the yard
  • Supporting general yard and site duties
  • Carrying out manual handling tasks where required
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
  • Working effectively as part of the Yard Team

Requirements:

  • Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (essential)
  • Previous Counterbalance FLT experience preferred
  • Comfortable working outdoors throughout the year
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg
  • Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to provide cover across alternative shift patterns when required
