We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in the Low Moor area of Bradford. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for managing a small team and ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient warehouse operations on shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organising and managing daily warehouse shifts
- Leading and supporting a team of 5-6 warehouse operatives
- Delivering daily shift briefings and supporting Supervisors
- Monitoring stock levels against orders and production schedules
- Investigating loading errors, damages, and discrepancies
- Liaising with logistics, production, and customer service teams
- Managing yard flow and supporting site efficiency
- Monitoring attendance and timekeeping
Health & Safety:
- Ensuring FLT checks are completed
- Enforcing PPE compliance at all times
- Maintaining safe, clean and clear working areas
- Reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses
Additional Duties:
- Supporting disciplinaries and workplace investigations
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives
- Working in line with quality and ISO standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role
- Experience managing small teams (5-10 people)
- Strong understanding of goods in / goods out operations
- IT literate (Sage and Microsoft Office preferred)
- Counterbalance FLT licence
- Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
