Production Machine Operator - Plastics Manufacturing
Bingley | £14.00 per hour plus overtime | Permanent | Three-Shift Rotation | Monday to Friday
AQUMEN Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established specialist manufacturer in Bingley.
We are looking for a Production Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing operation producing polythene film and packaging products to detailed customer specifications.
This is a hands-on, machine-led production position rather than a general warehouse or picking-and-packing role.
Full training will be provided on specialist extrusion, conversion and bagging machinery, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress to higher-level machine-setting responsibilities.
- Shift Pattern
- You must be able to work all three shifts as part of the rotating pattern:
- 06:00-14:30
- 14:00-22:30
- 22:00-06:30
- Monday to Friday
Applicants should consider how they will travel to and from work for each shift, particularly for early starts and late finishes.

The Role
Following training, your responsibilities will include
- Setting up, operating and monitoring production machinery
- Working with extrusion, conversion and bagging lines
- Blending and loading raw materials
- Selecting and loading rolls of prepared film
- Following job cards and detailed product specifications
- Monitoring product size, quality and consistency
- Making basic machine adjustments within your level of training
- Removing finished rolls and products from machinery
- Packing, wrapping, labelling and stacking finished goods
- Recording product quantities, roll or box weights and quality checks
- Identifying and reporting machinery or product faults
- Removing rejected material and preparing it for recycling
- Keeping machinery and production areas clean and organised
- Following all health and safety, hygiene and quality procedures
- Supporting colleagues to keep the continuous production process running efficiently
