The Role
As Service Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy service department and coordinating a team of field-based engineers. You'll act as a central point of contact for customers, engineers and internal departments, ensuring work is planned efficiently, documentation is processed accurately and customer expectations are consistently met.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, multitasking and working collaboratively within a busy office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing customer enquiries via telephone and email
- Coordinating engineer schedules to maximise efficiency and service delivery
- Processing service documentation and supporting timely invoicing
- Maintaining accurate records and administrative systems
- Liaising with customers, engineers and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Ensuring all paperwork is completed and filed correctly for audit and compliance purposes
- Managing multiple priorities while working to deadlines
- Supporting the wider team with general administrative duties
About You
We're looking for a proactive and professional administrator with excellent communication and organisational skills.
You’ll ideally have:
- Office administration experience
- Strong customer service skills and a professional telephone manner
- Excellent planning, organisation and attention to detail
- Experience coordinating engineers, technicians, field staff or service teams (desirable)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience using project management, scheduling or service systems
- A positive, can-do attitude and the confidence to use your own initiative
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
