Sandwich Infant School is a welcoming, community‑focused school for children aged 5–7. We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisor to play a key role in supporting pupils during lunch time. The post is 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12pm-1pm, term time only (38 weeks).
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playground and school premises.
- Promote good behaviour, safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Encourage positive play, social skills and good manners.
- Assist pupils as needed during lunchtime routines.
- Deal with minor incidents and report concerns to appropriate staff.
- Support the school’s safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety policies.
Safeguarding and Health & Safety
Midday Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that lunchtime is a safe, orderly and enjoyable period, acting as a positive role model for pupils. The successful candidate will be required to follow the relevant safeguarding procedures, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) guidance, and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
