Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities
- Complete fire stopping installations, compartmentation works, and remediation activities across Ventro projects.
- Ensure all work complies with manufacturer guidance (e.g., Protecta), fire-safety standards, and company processes.
- Upload evidence to Riskbase, support site set-up and clearance, and participate in surveys.
- Nationwide travel required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
- Education: Passive Fire Protection NVQ Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience Target: Experience in fire stopping, compartmentation, and passive fire protection. Experience with mastic, batt board, collars, wraps, and fire-rated partitions.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of fire stopping methods & products
- Ability to conduct destructive surveys
- Competent in fabricating/installing fire-rated walls
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use mobile reporting apps (Riskbase)
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practice
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
- Understanding of stock control and equipment management
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients
- CSCS Card (required)
- Asbestos Awareness (required)
- First Aid (preferred)
- BPSS & EL1 clearance (required post-induction when employed)
- Must be flexible and willing to stay away when required
- Full Clean UK Driving License

Essential Functions
- Fire Stopping Installations: Complete installations including batt & mastic, pipe collars, putty pads, metre boxes, and other passive fire components. (40%)
- Compartmentation & Remediation: Install and remediate fire-rated walls, partitions, and penetrations to maintain fire integrity. (25%)
- Surveys & Evidence Capture: Conduct destructive surveys, upload evidence to Riskbase, and complete all required documentation. (15%)
- Customer & Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, provide updates, and ensure understanding of works. (10%)
- Site Set-Up, Clearance & Compliance: Support site preparation, maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and attend toolbox talks. (10%)
Other Functions
- Attend training sessions, quarterly team meetings, and support continuous improvement. (5%)
- Manage stock levels, maintain equipment, and support wider Ventro teams when required. (5%)
