Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, measure, snag, and sign off fire doors across multiple Ventro projects.
- Ensure all work meets fire‑safety standards, is evidenced through Riskbase, and complies with health and safety requirements.
- Support site set‑up, clearance, and project delivery across nationwide locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
- Education: Carpentry NVQ (required).
- Experience Target: Previous carpentry experience, specifically fire door installation, inspection, and snagging. Experience working on construction or fire‑safety projects preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong carpentry and installation skills
- Ability to measure, fit, and adjust fire doors and frames
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use mobile apps (Riskbase) for evidence capture
- Strong understanding of fire‑safety standards and compliance

Essential Functions
- Fire Door Installation: Install fire doors and frames to required standards, ensuring compliance with fire‑safety regulations and manufacturer specifications. (40%)
- Inspection, Snagging & Sign‑Offs: Conduct fire door inspections, identify defects, complete snagging, and sign off completed works. (25%)
- Measurement & Evidence Capture: Measure doors/frames accurately and upload all evidence to Riskbase in line with company requirements. (15%)
- Site Set‑Up & Clearance: Support site preparation, material handling, deliveries, and end‑of‑day clearance. (10%)
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work meets health and safety regulations, follow best practice, and undertake required training. (10%)
Other Functions
- Attend training, toolbox talks, and professional development activities. (5%)
- Support wider Ventro teams on multi‑trade or fire‑safety projects when required. (5%)
