Aquila Interactive is looking for a Community Manager to lead player engagement across upcoming PC and console titles. Aquila Interactive is an innovative publisher and developer dedicated to creating intricate and immersive strategy games. Our mission is two-fold: 1) to develop rich, complex, and engaging games, and 2) to drive player contributions and engagement. We aim to distinguish ourselves by lowering the barriers for small teams and individuals to create and design content for our games.
As Community Manager, you’ll be the voice of Aquila to our players - and the voice of our players to our publishing and development teams. You will grow and nurture our online communities, manage social channels, support developer communication, and help build lasting relationships with our fans.
Responsibilities:- Manage and grow our communities across platforms such as Discord, Steam Discussions, Reddit, and others.
- Run and maintain social media accounts (X, TikTok, etc.), including posting, scheduling, and engaging with followers.
- Plan and execute community engagement initiatives like livestreams, developer diaries, and community events.
- Act as the link between players and the development/publishing teams - gathering, summarizing, and presenting player feedback internally.
- Collaborate closely with marketing to align on campaign rollouts, content plans, and promotional beats.
- Monitor sentiment and trends within the community to inform team decisions.
- Support with copywriting tasks and social content when needed.
- 3+ years of experience in community or social media management in the gaming industry.
- Excellent written communication and a friendly, engaging tone online.
- Strong understanding of Discord and Steam communities.
- Experience managing multi-platform social channels across multiple games.
- Comfortable hosting or participating in livestreams and video content.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- A passion for and experience in strategy or management games is a plus.
- Copywriting experience and/or experience with asset creation tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.) is a plus.
