We are seeking a professional Project Manager to join our Projects team!
Location: Whiteley, Hampshire | Contract: 12 months fixed term | 37 hours per week
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (DOE)
What you’ll do:
- As a trusted leader of bids and project teams, you will be responsible for delivering all aspects of the project from inception to execution, including detailed scheduling and planning, and management of costs, resources and scope of the project.
- Ensuring all the necessary supporting bid information is valid and robust to support each project business case along with the production of the governance packs and the corresponding project plans, financial budgets and resource requirements.
- Ensuring all projects assigned to you are delivered according to the Scope of the Contract, within the assigned Project Budget and on time, as defined in the Project Management Plan (PMP).
- Delivery of all project activities to the customer in accordance with relevant areas of the Aquila Management System, ensuring adherence to appropriate regulations.
What we’re looking for:
- Leadership skills, demonstrated through at least three years’ experience in a project management role.
- Experience, knowledge and proven track record of successful delivery and integration of complex projects.
- Experience of proven track record of building strong commercial relationships with customers and suppliers and understanding of the commercial aspects of providing projects against fixed price contracts.
- Experience of working knowledge of current and evolving Project Management processes and methodologies.
- Interpersonal skills and judgement required for dealing with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- High levels of competence when working effectively with stakeholders at all levels, always displaying professional behaviours.
- Analytical skills and attention to detail with a logical and structured approach to work and a high level of concentration.
- Experience of working in, with, or for, UK Ministry of Defence clients, preferably aligned to MOD or DE&S.
